Eligibility

Residents are eligible for the Program if they meet the following criteria:

  • Your property is in suburban Cook County (excluding Chicago).
  • Your household is in an income-qualified census tract, or your gross income (income before taxes) does not exceed 120% of the area’s median income (AMI).
  • The property must be four units or fewer and owned or rented by the person applying. If you rent the property, an adult living in the household must be on the water bill, and the owner must sign a consent form.

Enrollment Closed

The Cook County Leak Repair program has reached capacity and is no longer accepting new residents. We plan to reopen enrollment in 2026 if more spots become available.
